Summary
Who refollows me? runs locally in your browser while you are logged in to Instagram. It does not create user accounts, does not use a backend server, and does not send your Instagram data to the developer.
What the extension reads
When you start a scan, the extension reads only the Instagram information needed to compare your followers and following lists: usernames, display names, profile picture URLs, and follower or following relationships.
How it is processed
All scan logic runs inside your browser, using the Instagram session you already have open. Who refollows me? does not have a backend server and does not send your results to the developer.
What we don't do
- We do not ask for or store your Instagram password.
- We do not create user accounts.
- We do not collect analytics or track browsing outside Instagram.
- We do not sell, share, or upload your scan results.
- We do not store your Instagram data in a remote database.
- We do not keep scan results beyond your local browser session.
Storage
The extension does not intentionally store your scan results remotely. Results are shown only in the Instagram page where the extension is running and remain available only during your local browser session.
Permissions and third parties
The extension runs on Instagram pages so it can perform a scan when you request one. It communicates with Instagram only to retrieve the information needed for that scan. Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram's own terms and privacy policy. The developer does not receive, control, or process the data returned by Instagram during a scan.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the extension changes how it handles data. Any updates will be reflected on this page.
Questions
